CV&I Executive Development

All sessions are highly interactive and include anonymized real-life scenarios drawn from BMG’s consulting practice and ongoing research. Sessions frequently include methodologies and tools to facilitate team plans or provide approaches that can immediately be used in practice. Executive Seminars for C-level and boards are typically 1.5-3 hours. Venturing and incubation team workshops are ∏ or full day sessions. Understanding Corporate Venturing and Innovation Development: A Common Language for Implementing Best Practices for Corporate

This foundational workshop is designed for management, CV&I program teams and related corporate function personnel (R&D, finance, legal, HR, etc.). The workshop uses the Bell Mason Venture Development Framework™ as a simple common language for case analysis, adapted for corporate management and CV&I program use. The course also includes best practice requirements and red flags as guideposts for execution, and then applies these to an interactive case study showing pitfalls and successes of a Silicon Valley venture tracked over 15 years.

Staged corporate process for efficient deal flow management, diligence, valuation, approval and closing. May include Valuation Approaches and Term Sheet best practices in collaboration with Silicon Valley Bank Analytics and DLA Piper

Process and tools for managing and reporting on portfolio level performance of CV&I programs/unit, using standard reporting elements and dashboards customized for client investment boards or executive committees. Goal is to enable performance tracking for CVC, commercial piloting/incubation, and innovation partnering and M&A.
