QUANTIFICATION: Yes/No Evidence of Progress Over Time

Quantification of a venture's progress, in each stage, via key milestones and incremental performance measures.

Sample Product Dimension Probes:

• Concept Stage: Has the company translated its technology/uniqueness to a relatively concrete platform and first product/service idea? Is it self-sustaining w/future generations?
• Seed Stage: Is the Product/Service Specification formalized and complete?
• Alpha Stage: Have areas of missed features, functions and performance goals between prototype and working Alpha been noted and resolved? (also, with simulations done for planning for scale, as appropriate to the plan)
• (Venture) Beta Stage: Are an appropriate number of betas installed and operating in real use environments w/ satisfied customers, validating performance, uniqueness, and buying propositions?
• Market Calibration Stage: Is the first product/service stable and routinely meeting its performance goals before the second product/service is introduced?
